Transaction-specific roles
Where checkout identifies the expert as underlying supplier, the expert is responsible for supplier obligations assigned by law and Moned acts as disclosed marketplace and collection agent. A mandatory jurisdictional rule may assign a different supplier, collection, tax, invoicing, reporting, or withholding role; the finalized checkout and policy version identify the applicable result.
Information Moned may require
Moned may require legal and trading names, addresses, residence and establishment countries, performance locations, business or consumer status, tax and business identifiers, registrations, birth or ownership information where legally necessary, tax-location evidence, forms, confirmations, and document expiry dates. Sensitive identifiers are stored encrypted and shown only in masked form after submission.
Tax determination
Each supported transaction is evaluated using the Moned entity, expert residence and establishment, performance location, customer country and status, service classification, currency, charge country, payout country, evidence status, and effective policy version. Provider, customer, tax, payment, and payout outcomes are independent. Missing or conflicting evidence fails closed.
Expert and customer responsibilities
Experts and business customers must provide accurate information and independently meet obligations assigned to them, including registrations, reverse-charge accounting, returns, and professional advice where appropriate. Consumers must provide accurate billing and location information. Moned does not provide personal tax advice or guarantee a person’s tax treatment.
Marketplace seller reporting
Moned may collect, validate, retain, aggregate, correct, and report seller identity and transaction information under applicable platform-reporting regimes, including Germany’s implementation of DAC7 where applicable. A reportable amount is not itself a tax bill, and reporting does not determine the seller’s final tax liability.
Withholding and statutory deductions
Where an approved rule requires withholding or another statutory deduction, Moned may deduct the amount from settlement, retain the decision basis, and provide an available certificate or statement. An uncertain withholding result blocks the affected payout or corridor until reviewed; Moned does not guess a zero amount.
Missing information and restrictions
Moned may send staged reminders and separately restrict transactions or payouts when required information is missing, invalid, expired, inconsistent, or not reconfirmed after a material change. High-impact overrides, suspensions, releases, reporting corrections, and exports require authorized review by different proposer and approver identities.
Corrections
Finalized tax decisions, issued documents, posted ledger entries, and reporting snapshots are not silently overwritten. Corrections append linked reversal and replacement records so the history can be reproduced under the policy version originally applied.
